Vietnam’s steel exports fall over 25%, m-o-m, in May

Vietnam’s steel exports stood at 645,345 t in May’22, down 26% m-o-m as against 870,951 t in Apr, SteelMint data reveals. The drop in exports is due to lower demand for downstream products like galvanised primarily from the EU. During the first five months of the current calendar year, exports dropped 19% to 3.56 mnt from 4.39 mnt in Jan-May’21.
