India’s steel exports stood at 1.38 mnt in May’22, up 2% from 1.35 mnt a month ago, SteelMint data show. Flat steel exports rose 6% to 975,150 t, longs stood at 111,109 t (up 7%). However, semis exports dropped 12% to 293,174 t during May. Italy, Beglium and Nepal were the leading importers during the month under review.
