State-run miner OMC concluded auctions for 54,300 t of chrome ore today. Out of the total quantity, only 17,300 t of the material was booked at close to the base price while the rest remained unsold despite the fact that the base price was reduced by 25% compared with the previous auction in line with the downtrend in the ferro chrome market. Ferro chrome prices are at around INR 107,200/t exw Jajpur, as assessed on 16 Jun.
