Shipbreaking melting scrap prices increased by INR 300/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang on 17 Jun’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 40,500/t exy. Prices for semi-finished steel improved but limited trades were seen yesterday along with active buying inquiries for scrap that prompted suppliers to raise prices.
