Brazil: Pig iron exports rise over 25%, m-o-m, in May

Brazil’s pig iron exports rose 28.48% m-o-m in May’22 to 0.32 mnt from 0.25 mnt in Apr, as per customs data.
The USA was the largest importer at 0.15 mnt, followed by the Netherlands at 0.06 mnt.
Export volumes rose significantly by 22% on year to 1.4 mnt in Jan-May’22 as against 1.15 mnt in the year-ago period.
