India: Active demand lifts Raipur sponge iron offers by INR 100-200/t

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) inched up by INR 150/t to INR 30,750/t exw-Raipur.
About 4,000 t of deals for FeM 80% P-DRI were reported at INR 30,600-30,900/t on exw and DAP, while around 3,400 t of FeM 77-78% material was traded at INR 30,000-30,400/t on DAP Raipur basis.
Sponge iron demand remained active following the rise in billet prices and restocking by furnaces ahead of the approaching monsoon in the country, sources informed SteelMint.
