Chinese met coke producer in Hebei province has proposed the second round of price hike by RMB 200/t ($30/t). The previous hike was of RMB 100/t ($15/t). The reason behind the hike in coke prices is increased steel demand after the easing of Covid-induced lockdown restrictions. In addition, active export bookings are also supporting prices. The price of met coke in Tangshan, Hebei province is at RMB 3,300/t ($490/t) on 13 June’22.
