Leading state-owned steel producer, Vizag Steel, conducted an auction for 1,000 t of basic pig iron on 10 Jun’22. Buyers booked the entire quantity in the range of INR 44,050-44,100/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. The steelmaker’s previous auction on 7 Jun for the same quantity and quality of pig iron had closed without a single bid being placed.
