Scrap imports to India marginally up in March 2013 

India imported total
scrap of about 405000MT as on March 19^th up by
about 13000MT from 392000MTas on 19^th Feb. 

UnitedArab Emirates
remains the highest scrap importing source to India continuouslyfor these two
months. About 58600MT of scarp wasimported from 01 Feb’13 to 19 Feb ’13 and
about 63600MT of scrap beimported in the same duration of March.

Indianport JNPT has
registered a maximum hike by 24000MT scrap imports in between 01March-19March
to 90700MT from 66500MT in between
01Feb-19Feb.
