Indian DRI, billet and re-bar update – 10 June

India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market observed mixed price trends today. Offers across mills varied in the range of INR 50-600/tonne (t) d-o-d on 10 June, 2022.

Sponge iron and billet prices fluctuated by INR 50-600/t with a maximum fall of INR 600/t seen in Ramgarh’s sponge iron market. On the other hand, a noticeable hike of INR 500/t was seen in Gujarat (western India).

Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers varied in the range of INR 100-500/t across regions with a major drop of INR 500/t seen in eastern and southern India markets.

The finished longs (rebar) steel market saw improved demand in central region, while demand was moderate in the remaining parts of the country. Also, trading has picked up which was dull for the last few days, sources informed SteelMint.
