Taiwan: Ferrous scrap import increases 4%, m-o-m, in May

Ferrous scrap imports by Taiwan up slightly by 4% to 265,000 t in May’22 as against 256,000 t in Apr, as per SteelMint data.
The USA was the largest exporter at 101,000 t followed by Japan and Australia at 43,000 t and 23,000 t, respectively.
On a yearly basis, import volumes fell 7% from 292,700 t in May’21.
