China: Copper ore imports rise over 16%, m-o-m, in May

China’s copper ore imports stood at 2.18 mnt in May’22 as against 1.88 mnt in Apr, a m-o-m increase of 16.2%. China imported 1.94 mnt of copper ore in May’21 and 2.18 mnt in May’22, a y-o-y increase of 12.7%. During Jan-May’22, China imported a total of 10.42 mnt copper ore, as per SteelMint data.
