Japan’s monthly Kanto scrap export tender for Jun’22 was held today. A total of 5,500 t of scrap was awarded and the average price for H2 scrap stood at around JPY 53,560/t ($399/t) FAS, SteelMint learnt from sources. The material is likely to have been booked for Vietnam. Notably, the tender for May failed to conclude as bids fell lower than expectations.
