Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) held an auction for 7,000 t of basic pig iron (in 70 units) on 8 Jun’22 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Buyers booked only 4,900 t (49 units) out of the total material at a weighted average price of INR 43,000/t exw, sources informed. Bid prices remained stable compared to the previous auction on 3 Jun in which buyers booked 5,300 t.
