In a confirmed deal, 6,000 t of 64% CSR met coke has been sold at INR 47,000/t in the eastern region. Domestic coke prices have corrected by INR 7,000-8,000/t in May. While demand is steady, buyers are bidding at lower rates of INR 40,000/t amid a fall in coking coal prices. On the other hand, Chinese offers have risen this week from $580-590/t to $615-620/t, CFR India in line with the hike in domestic coke prices there.
