Melting scrap prices either witnessed a minor correction or remained stable across markets today, as per SteelMint assessment. In the northern region, there is a huge shortage of melting scrap. HMS prices in Alang’s shipbreaking yard fell by INR 300/t today. In West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, scrap prices were more or less stable throughout the day.
