China: Baosteel to cut domestic tinplate prices by RMB 150/t ($22/t)

China’s Baoshan Iron and Steel announced a reduction in domestic tinplate prices for Jul’22 deliveries by RMB 150/t ($22/t) compared to Jun.
The company’s domestic tinplate sales prices have retreated from the third consecutive month of hike and are expected to remain flat in Jun’22, Japan Metal Daily reported.
There is the possibility that supply and demand of tinplates in China may tighten further.
