FACOR, a Vedanta subsidiary, held an auction for ferro chrome on 4 Jun’22. The big and small lots of 10-150mm in size were booked at nearly the floor prices of INR 112,100/t and INR 113,100/t ex-Jajpur, respectively. Weak demand amid production curtailment by stainless steel mills resulted in limited participation in the auction, sources informed. Traders remained on the sidelines over uncertainty in ferro chrome prices.
