USA replaces Section 232 tariffs on UK steel exports with TRQs

USA has replaced Section 232 tariffs on exports of certain UK-origin steel and aluminium products with tariff-rate quotas (TRQs).

• 500,000 t of UK steel products per year can be exported to USA duty-free.
• 21,600 t of UK aluminium products per year can be exported to USA duty-free.
