Today, the Supreme Court stated that Iron ore mined in Goa previous to the year 2007 is owned by the Goan government.
According to sources, about 15-20 MnT of the material had been mined. The Apex Court said that the entire quantity shall be disposed off via e-auctions, under the control of monitoring committee.
The court’s judgment document is awaited for further clarity, concerning e-auction process and government strategy.
