In yesterday’s auction by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), a Vizag based steelmaker booked 16,000 t of G7 grade (5,200-5,500 kCal/kg) coal at a bid price of INR 9,470/t. This was the second auction held by the company in May. Bid price rose compared to the price recorded in the previous auction at INR 9,195/t. Higher bids were supported by the prevailing supply tightness in the domestic market.
