Raipur-based steel wire rod manufacturers have slashed prices by INR 800/t to INR 50,000/t exw today due to weak trade enquiries at higher prices. Weak sentiments and a sharp fall in semi-finished steel prices impacted the trade and also forced resellers to offer hefty trade discounts around INR 2,000/t in the spot market.
