Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) had floated tender for sale of Iron ore produced at its Daitari mines, for which, bids have gone up by INR 100/MT.
The state government undertaking company, OMC had floated tender for sale of 45,000 MT Iron ore (lump & fines) available at its different Iron ore mines at Daitari region in Odisha on 01 Oct, 2014.

It is to be noted that Daitari Iron ore tender was called off previously. Electrosteel Steels, in spite of being Iron ore lease holder participated in the process and emerged as H1 bidder, which was against the norms of OMC, which made the tender to call off. The deferred prices were:

In comparison with Q2 FY15, bid prices have shown marginal improvement and have gone up by INR 100/MT from INR 3,526/MT to INR 3,635/MT for lump of 10-40 mm (Fe 62%).
