Thailand: Steel billet imports rise over 25%, m-o-m, in April

Thailand’s billet imports rose by 27.49% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 0.35 mnt from 0.28 mnt in Mar, as per data released by customs.
Oman was the largest exporter at 0.21 mnt, followed by Japan and Australia at 0.08 mnt and 0.04 mnt, respectively.
However, export volumes fell significantly by 21% on year to 0.99 mnt in Jan-Apr’22 as against 1.25 mnt in the year-ago period.
