India: Stainless steel scrap, finished products prices remain rangebound

The domestic stainless steel market gradually started picking up from today after trading moved in a slow lane for a week after the imposition of export duty on stainless steel finished products on 22 May’22. However, buyers of top mills adopted a wait-and-watch tactic for prices to be drop further. SteelMint assessment for 304 grade scrap is at INR 153,000/t ($1,969/t) exy- Delhi and 304 grade HRC at INR 245,000 ($3,161/t) exw-Mumbai.
