Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 1,000/t d-o-d on 28 May’22, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 41,000/t exy. Moderate buying enquiries for semi-finished steel during the last trading session and a few trades concluded at higher price levels in the region supported scrap suppliers to raise offers today.
