Induction furnace route rebar market is under pressure across regions since few days. Steel billet prices are also consistently falling leading to weakening of rebar steel. Market participants are inactive due to low confidence to procure material owing to plunged prices of rebars. Lower transactions in the spot market and rising inventories in the rolling mills forced manufacturers to offer tradable discounts.
