India: NINL rolls back Pig Iron Price Cut

Neelachal Ispat (NINL), India’s largest seller of Pig iron in merchant market, rolls back its Pig iron prices to previous level of INR 22,500/MT ex-Cuttack. 

NINL has raised its base price to previous level of INR 22,500/MT, which it had maintained before at INR 22,200/MT (ex-Cuttack).

The company on 09 Oct, 2014 has released a price circular defining base price for N1 grade Pig iron at INR 22,200/MT with correction of INR 300/MT and discount of upto INR 400/MT on bulk purchase.

Viewing the requirement of every level of clients, the company has made few changes on discount offers. Previously, the company was allowing discount only to purchaser, who was lifting above 3 rakes. But now, in this revised price circular, every level of client has being taken into consideration.

An official of MMTC reported, “Company tried to balance and justify the offers on behalf of NINL, so that every group of buyers could be benefited.”
