Indonesian government in Jul’14 has implied a new license regulation, in which coal exporters have to apply for licenses to register as a certified exporter. This new license regulation, effective from 01 Oct, 2014 is creating problems for the Indonesian coal miners and exporters. About 100 miners have got license in new format and around 200 miners still struggling to get it. This in turn has resulted in shortage of suppliers and is directly hampering Indonesian coal export market.
Market experts anticipated that Indonesian coal export could decline by around 15% in upcoming months and by upto 5% in current year.
