The average daily output of crude steel at Chinese steel mills in mid-May’22 stood 2.21 mnt, an increase of 2.66% m-o-m. However, output decreased by 3.33% y-o-y, as per China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) data. The average daily output of pig iron in key steel enterprises in mid-May was 2.03 mnt, down 0.04% m-o-m and 0.47% y-o-y.
