Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market remained stable d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices fell INR 6,500/t in the last two days. Scrap prices remained stable despite the lack of transactions in semis and finished steel during the last trading session but owing to limited purchase enquiries in the spot market for scrap and thus suppliers preferred to keep offers stable today.
