India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 23,000/t at Vizag Port

In a confirmed deal, 5,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) coal was sold at INR 23,000/t at Vizag Port, while RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) coal offers were at INR 19,000/t. Amid steep imported coal prices, the majority of sponge iron manufacturers continued to remain on the sidelines, while few vessel arrivals compelled traders to push offers higher.
