Mumbai based trader confirmed the receipt of HMS 1
grade scrap offers at $405/MT CFR Nhava Sheva from Dubai. HMS 1&2 (80:20)
offers lie within the range of $395-400/MT CFR Nhava Sheva origin Europe/UK/Africa and offers for
shredded scrap lie in between
$415-420/MT CFR Nhava Sheva origin Europe/UK. However no new deals have been
heard to be concluded
In Kandla, Shredded scrap import offers from Europe
stands at $420/MT CFR Kandla and HMS 1&2 (80:20) offers lie in between
$390-395/MT CFR Kandla port. Trade remains low across the country due to March
closing. Wait and watch situation prevails in import market on commence of New
Financial year from today 1st April, 2013.
Also rise in power prices in some states of India
will have impact on buying sentiments.
