SteelMint assessment for domestic special high-grade (SHG) zinc ingot prices were assessed at INR 318,000/t ($4,105/t), a d-o-d hike of INR 3,000/t. Amid the buzz of China lifting COVID-19 lockdowns from 1 Jun’22, LME zinc cash prices climbed 2.4% to $ 3,584/t yesterday, following which prices of SHG zinc ingots rose in the domestic market. Stocks on LME also decreased d-o-d by 225 t on 16 May’22.
