India: South African RB2 coal sold at INR 22,500/t at Vizag Port

Amid limited inquiries from sponge iron manufacturers, small parcel of about 500-1,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 22,500/t at Vizag Port, while 3,000 t of RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) was sold at INR 19,250/t at Gangavaram Port. Traders continued to remain firm in their offers amid tight vessel arrival from the country in the coming weeks, while bidding remained lower at INR 20,000/t.
