Amid lower bids from the sponge iron units, portside trading activities pertaining to South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal turned muted today. While offers were firm at INR 22,500-23,000/t at Gangavaram Port, bids were lower at INR 20,000/t amid rising unviability of procuring at higher levels. 2,000 t of RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 19,500/t at Mangalore Port on 14 May.
