MSTC-Karnataka conducted an e-auction for 21,168 t of different grades of manganese ore (Mn 26-34%) on behalf of Sandur Mines (SMIORE) on 6 May 2022. Six bidders participated in the auction and booked 6,048 t of ore at a price 0.02% higher than the floor price. As a result of production cuts in the southern region and weak demand for manganese alloys, bidders showed little interest in the auction.
