China: Iron ore spot price falls on poor demand

The spot price of iron ore in China fell on 12 May 2022 as a result of weak steel demand leading to lower buying interest. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices decreased by $5.95/t to $127.55/t CFR China. According to few sources, poor steel demand outlook over the short term was a key reason for the decline in prices in the previous week.
