South Asia: Imported ferrous scrap prices fall further d-o-d

Imported scrap price indications in South Asia have continued to witness a drop d-o-d amid weaker global price sentiments and decline in Turkey imported scrap prices.

• Bangladesh’s imported scrap market remained less active. However, as per SteelMint’s daily assessment, UK-origin shredded is set at $580/t, and HMS at $545/t, CFR, a fall of $10/t noticed d-o-d.
• Pakistan’s imported shredded scrap price of UK-origin is assessed at $555-560/t, CFR Pakistan, down by $5-10/t d-o-d.
• India imported shredded of UK-origin is $555-560/t and Dubai HMS-1 is at $540/t,  CFR Nhava Sheva.
