SAIL conducted an auction for 250 t of steel grade pig iron on 12 May’22 from IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur. The base price was set at around INR 54,000/t. However, buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without any bid being placed. Auction for similar grade material has been rescheduled for 16 May. At the previous auction on 2 May, 550 t of similar grade material was booked at INR 54,700/t exw.
