Taiwan: Ferrous scrap imports up 8%, m-o-m, in April

Ferrous scrap imports by Taiwan increased by 8% to 260,000 t in Apr’22 against 240,000 t in Mar, as per SteelMint data.
The USA was the largest exporter at 80,000 t followed by Japan and the Dominican Republic at 60,000 t and 20,000 t respectively.
However, on a yearly basis, import volumes fell 7% from 280,000 t in Apr’21.
