Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) held an auction for 6,000 t (three rakes) of steel grade pig iron on 11 May’22 from the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 53,450/t exw. Prices decreased by INR 5,550/t against the previous BSL pig iron auction on 20 April.
