USA: Silico manganese imports fall by 61% in Mar’22 owing to supply disruption

USA’s Silico manganese imports witnessed a drastic fall by 61% in March 2022 to 19,647 t against 50,813 t in February 2022 due to supply disruption and container shortage in the export market. However, silico manganese imports increased by 54% to 100,075 t in Q1 CY’22 y-o-y. Ferro manganese imports volume to USA decreased by 63% m-o-m in March 2022 to 15,757 t. Meanwhile, manganese alloys imports to USA decreased by 61% m-o-m in March 2022.
