Vietnam: Steel exports up nearly 10%, m-o-m, in April

Steel exports by Vietnamese mills stood at 0.87 mnt in Apr’22, up 9% compared to 0.80 mnt in Mar. However, imports fell by 13% to 0.96 mnt in Mar as against 1.10 mnt in the previous month due to more domestic procurement of finished steel products. In January-Apr’22, export and import volumes dropped by 18% and 21% to 2.91 mnt and 3.96 mnt respectively y-o-y.
