Falling bids and drop in global scrap prices continued to weigh on global billet prices. An Indian steelmaker floated an ocean sale export tender for 30,000 t of steel blooms (150*150mm, 3SP/4SP) in end-Apr’22. According to sources, the tender received bids at around $700/t FOB. SteelMint’s latest assessment of Indian billet export prices are at $705/t FOB, down $30/t w-o-w.
