USA: Pig iron imports rise over 15%, m-o-m, in March

USA’s pig iron imports rose by 16.05% m-o-m to 0.45 mnt from 0.39 mnt in Feb’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the largest exporter at 0.22 mnt, followed by Russia at 0.15 mnt.
Import volumes rose by 18% to 1.47 mnt in Jan-Mar’22 as against 1.25 mnt in the year-ago period.
