SAIL held an auction for 9,200 t of basic pig iron (in 92 units) on 9 May’22 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Buyers booked around 35% of the material, equivalent to 3,200 t, at a weighted average price of INR 55,290/t exw, sources informed. Bid price decreased by INR 600/t in comparison with the previous auction held on 2 May.
