Steel Authority of India SAIL, the largest domestic steel maker, has increased prices for its products by up to Rs 1500 per ton for April, said dealers and other market sources. However official confirmation has not been received yet.
Market participants say prices have been raised on rise in freight charges (up by around 5.7% effective from 1st April) and improved demand. Other companies may also raise their prices.
HR Coil 2MM in Ludhiana will now be offered at Rs 41,200 (Vat extra) over Rs 39,700 (Previous price).
