Turkey: Silico manganese imports rise 9%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

Turkish silico manganese imports increased by 9% m-o-m in Mar ’22 to 16,551 t in line with crude steel production increasing m-o-m to 3.3 mn t in Mar’22. However, on yearly basis, imports of silico manganese decreased by 20% in Q1 CY’22. On the other hand, Turkish ferro manganese imports surge 150% m-o-m in Mar’22 as demand rose in the market. Major exporting countries to Turkey were Georgia, Norway, India, and Ukraine.
