Portside prices of US 6900 kcal/kg NAR coal fell by INR 1,100/t w-o-w to to INR 20,600/t at Kandla Port amid slow purchasing demand by brick-kiln users. Elevated raw material prices has so far weighed on their operations as brick manufacturing have declined by 40% on a y-o-y basis, market participants informed. Few cement industries, however, continued procuring small parcel trades ahead of the monsoon season.
